wanderbymistake

7 small canvases around 12x16"
1 large canvas at 22x28"

all are canvas boards except two of the smaller ones, which are real streched canvas, and one which is a plain wooden board.
all but the board (so 7 out of 8) are from artist emporium and have been painted over. a couple need another coat of white paint but that's easy.

20$ for all 8
or i could sell them separately if you're into that.

pick up only.

Introductory post + Question. Jun. 12th, 2005 @ 12:46 pm

I decided that since i've just joined, I would make a sort of introductory post, along with a question for you all. My name is Amber, i'm fourteen years old, and currently enrolled in the art course at Maples Collegiate. I applied for Winnipeg Folk Festival's Young Artist Program, and amazingly, have been accepted. So this July I will be creating artwork with 25 other young artists, and on the last day of the Folk Fest we will be displaying our work! I've also created a Banner for this years Arts in the Park. I wish I could show you some of my pieces, but sadly my scanner is broken and my digital camera is complete crap.

Now here comes the question; quite recently i've began selling some of my art pieces both online and in real life, but i'm considering creating Prints. Only thing is, I have no clue how to go about doing this... if I can just make copies at a local Staples, or if I need to seek help from a professional print place. I've looked a bit into Giclee prints online, but I really have NO CLUE how to go about creating prints... any help/links/suggestions/advice would be greatly appreciated!

thank you!

I know this community has slowed down, but I'm hoping a few of you still watch it. Dregs, a recently-opened coffeehouse and gallery with a pronounced emphasis on local visual artists and musicians (and tasty wraps and sweets), has hit some hard times. I'd hate to see it go!

Hi, thought I'd post this here. It's a catharsis of my childhood and probably a lot of other people's too. Hope you like.

I made the ring

A ring I made; sterling with moonstone.

A recent necklace; that's me modelling too:

And some older wire work here.

I'd like to get back into a studio to produce castings, reticulated silver work, etc.; looking for somebody willing to share a space.

I've recently moved to Winnipeg. I'm a former metalsmith (primarily silversmithing, body sculpture) who would like to work with the medium again, but have only minimal hand tools so I'm looking for a studio. Is anybody willing to share theirs? Is there a collective studio? Anybody looking for an apprentice? Any leads would be much appreciated. Thanks!
